ZipcarWhat are Zipcars you might ask? Zipcars are cars that can be reserved by the hour or by the day. Once becoming a member of Zipcar, you will have access to hundreds of vehicles. Whenever you want to use a Zipcar, you will go to Zipcar’s website or call Zipcar and make a reservation. After making your reservation you will walk to the car, hold your Zipcard to the windshield and the doors will unlock. The car is then yours to zip away in. When you get through with the vehicle you will simply return the Zipcar to the same parking spot you got it from. Mason students and employees can join Zipcar for just $25/year and can reserve Zipcars for as low as $7.50/hour and $56/day. There are Zipcars parked at the Arlington Campus, the Vienna Metro, and other locations throughout the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.
