Announcement for Mason Pond Permit Owners

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

Valued Mason Pond Permit Holder,

Starting on Friday, March 1, 2019 and going through the end of March, you will be required to use the visitor’s exit, Level 1, onto Mason Pond Drive in order to leave the parking deck.  The Aquia Creek Lane exit lane will be closed to facilitate construction activity related to the Core Campus infrastructure project.  The permit entrance from Aquia Creek Lane & the visitor’s entrance from Mason Pond Drive will remain open during this time.

When exiting the permit section please enter the visitor parking area by puling a ticket & exiting the visitor area onto Mason Pond Drive. Please remember that you have 29 minutes to accomplish this & parking in the visitor section is not allowed. If entering from Mason Pond Drive you will be required to pull a ticket, drive through the visitor parking area and exit the visitor area on Level 3 in order to pull into the reserved permit section.

We are working with the University’s project managers to arrange exit to Aquia Creek Lane during select event vehicle departures.

Also, Aquia Creek Lane will be closed starting at 10 PM on Friday, March 8, 2019 through 6 AM on Monday, March 11, 2019. Only emergency vehicles and vehicles with disabled parking placards may have access to parking in front of SUB I and the Aquia Building.  If accessing Mason Pond Deck during this time frame, you will have to enter off Mason Pond Drive.

If interested in changing parking permits and switching to another garage, reserved lot, or General permit, please bring your current permit and access card to Parking Services to make a swap.

As a reminder for faculty/staff deck permits, they are valid in General areas at all times.

For student deck permits, while normally only valid in General areas from 5 PM to 11 PM Monday-Friday and on weekends, you may also park in any student General area (Lots A, C, L, K and first two permit levels of Rappahannock River Parking Deck) at any time during March.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at parking@gmu.edu or call (703) 993-2710.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  For more information on the Core Campus project, go to construction.gmu.edu
