Update: Thanksgiving/Winter Break Parking

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

With the University switching to virtual instruction after the Thanksgiving Holiday, it is anticipated that a number of students will be heading home for the rest of the semester and will remain home throughout the winter break. If you plan on departing and leaving your vehicle on campus during this time period, we ask that you utilize the covered parking spaces in the following locations:

Rappahannock Parking Deck – General permit area (the portion of level 1 that is not designated for visitors and the non-restricted parking spaces of Level 2) and level 4. The normal restriction preventing overnight permit parking will be waived.

Shenandoah Parking Deck – Level 4. Please enter the deck at level 2 or 3. Anyone parking on the 1st level will be required to pay the visitor fees upon exit.

We ask that you park in these locations in case of inclement weather occurring during your absence. Your vehicle may remain parked at either location beginning on Friday, November 20th, 2020 through Sunday, January 24th, 2021. A valid parking permit is still required to park on campus. The expiration date for fall semester permits has been extended to January 25, 2021.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Parking Services at parking@gmu.edu or call (703) 993-2710.
