SNOW EMERGENCY: ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM PARKING LOTS BY TUESDAY 12/15

[siteorigin_widget class=”SiteOrigin_Widget_Headline_Widget”][/siteorigin_widget]

With the forecast for occasional snow, sleet, and rain for Tuesday night and into Wednesday, it is mandatory that all Resident Students remove their vehicles from surface parking lots by 11:00PM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.  Any vehicles left in surface parking lots are subject to being ticketed and/or towed.  If you are a Resident Student with a valid Mason parking permit, please move your vehicle into either of the following parking decks:

1) Rappahannock Parking Deck – please park in the General permit area (the portion of Level 1 that is not designated for visitors and the non-restricted parking spaces of level 2) as well as in the restricted parking spaces of Level 3 if the General permit area fills.  The normal restriction preventing overnight permit parking will be waived.

2) Shenandoah Parking Deck – Levels 2 through 4.  Anyone parking in the 1st level visitor area will be required to pay the posted parking fees upon exit.

A parking permit will be required to park in the decks.  Those without permits should use visitor parking if wanting to park in the decks.  Again, any vehicles left in surface parking lots are subject to being ticketed and/or towed.

An email will be sent to you once more information is known about Mason’s operating status including when one will need to relocate their vehicles back into their regular parking areas.  We appreciate your compliance with this request as it is in your best interests for safety and to allow the University’s Facilities department to clear surface parking lots.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
