- The Van Metre Garage Evening parking permit is only valid in the Van Metre Garage located at 3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA, from 2 pm to 2 am, Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends. This parking permit is also valid in the General parking areas on the Fairfax and SciTech campuses. Please be aware that you cannot park in the Rappahannock Parking Deck General permit area between 2 am and 5 am, Monday-Friday.
- If permit holder is parked in the Van Metre Garage before or after their authorized time, they will be assessed a $5 “parking overtime” citation for the first hour. If the permit holder is parked outside of their authorized time for more than one hour, they will be assessed a $25 “parking overtime” citation. If one accumulates five violations in an academic year, their deck parking privileges may be revoked for the remainder of the year.
- This permit is not valid in service/repair, state vehicle, administrative, reserved spaces, the Vernon Smith and Fuse Garages, and the Mason Pond and Shenandoah Parking Decks.
- Permit holder is always responsible for their vehicle and must pay attention to any special signs regarding lot closures and other temporary restrictions or changes to parking regulations.
- Permit is for use by authorized owner only and cannot be transferred to other people.
- Permit is not allowed to be resold, duplicated, or altered in any manner.
- Your license plate is your parking permit. License plate must be associated to a virtual parking permit. You may only register vehicles that you own or possess. Vehicles must be parked with a license plate facing the drive aisle to avoid a citation.
- Permit does not guarantee a space in any specific parking area.
