- Parking at all Mason facilities requires a permit or fee payment at areas that accept mobile payments or parking decks.
- Permit is only valid in motorcycle parking areas. Motorcycles cannot park in a regular parking space in any lot or parking deck.
- Motorcycles are required to park in designated motorcycle parking areas on level 3 of either the Shenandoah or Mason Pond Parking decks. Motorcycles may also be in the designated areas outside of the Aquatic Center, Thompson Hall/Finley Building, Parking Services Building, and in Lots C, J, and Townhouse and the first level of the Rappahannock Parking Deck.
- Permit is also valid in the motorcycle-designated areas of the King & Discovery Lot at the Science and Technology campus.
- Mopeds, scooters, and bicycles are categorized as motorcycles for permits, where applicable.
- Only one motorcycle can park per space.
- Permit holder is always responsible for their vehicle and must pay attention to any special signs regarding lot closures and other temporary restrictions or changes to parking regulations.
- Permit is for use by authorized owner only and cannot be transferred to other people.
- Permit is not allowed to be resold, duplicated, or altered in any manner.
- Your license plate is your parking permit. License plate must be associated to a virtual permit. May only register vehicles that the permit owner owns or possesses. Vehicles without a front license plate must be parked with the rear license plate facing the drive aisle to avoid a citation.
- Permit does not guarantee a space in any specific area.
