Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations

Charging stations are located in the visitor section of the Mason Pond, Shenandoah, and Rappahannock River Parking Decks on the Fairfax Campus. There are also charging stations located at level B2 of the Founders Hall Garage on the Arlington campus.

  1. You must register with ChargePoint in advance to use the charging stations. Please visit their website to learn about membership.
  2. Electric vehicles must be registered under your account with Parking Services and you must have a valid mason parking permit in order to qualify for the benefits that are listed below.

Please complete the EV Charging Station Validation Form. When these validations are running low you can request another block by using the same form again.

  • You will be issued fifteen (15) four (4) hour validations since the vehicle charging is limited to four hours at a time.
  • Allow one business day for processing.
  • Come to the Parking Services office, located next to the Shenandoah Parking Deck, with your Mason ID and pick up your validations. The validations work for both locations.
  • To use the validations drive into the visitor section and pull a ticket. To exit the parking deck when you are done charging your vehicle, insert the first ticket that you pulled upon entry into the Pay-on-Foot or Pay-in-lane machines, allow the pay machine to calculate the parking rate and then insert your validation. Any time parked over the four hour limit will result in an additional parking charge to the driver of vehicle.
