Effective May 1, 2021, UTAC approval will no longer be required for university domestic travel. Requests to travel domestically shall revert back to the pre-Covid process wherein travel approval is given at the department level, in accordance with University Policy 2101, Travel, Meals and Entertainment Expenditures.
George Mason University will continue monitoring the Covid-19 situation throughout the United States and will reinstate the requirement for UTAC approval for university domestic travel if needed.

Making a Reservation
Making a reservation for a rental vehicle is convenient through our online reservation system "Trip Direct". The two step process submits your reservation electronically and provides your confirmation and trip summary by email to help keep you informed.
If you have never rented vehicles before, please complete a Motor Pool Vehicle Rental Form and submit it to the motor pool office by campus mail (mailstop 1J6), in person (Nottoway Annex), or email email@example.com . Sending your reservation in advance ensures availability of vehicles to match your activity.
